Ever have one of those days when you tell yourself you’re going to be really diligent and work out and end up instead on the couch in your PJ’s eating Goldfish and Cheetos?
Yeah, that actually happens to me a lot (big surprise there, right?). I go through these really impressive workout spurts, where I’ll be an exercising machine for a solid three days and then…I don’t even know what happens. I just wake up one day and all my drive is gone. Sometimes I can attribute that to feeling under the weather or having a weird twinge in my shoulder. But, I’m being honest here, sometimes I just don’t want to get up.
I think part of my problem is that I’m a college student, and after a week of emails and papers and readings, that intense workout with Jillian Michaels just does not sound appealing. Even something light, like a walk around the neighborhood, seems like a daunting task.
I really think someone needs to do a study on this. Exercise Unmotivation or something. If some scientist out there comes up with a solution to this problem, I’ll waive the fee I would normally charge for identifying this problem, which is obviously a serious blight in society.
Any insights out there into Exercise Unmotivation?
