Hey readers! Sorry for the short hiatus, I’ve been sick with some stomach craziness for the past couple of days. But I’m back, and here to talk about what I think is a serious issue: watching your weight in high school.
Let’s be honest, high school is difficult no matter who you are. I don’t care if you had tons of bros and those four years were your glory days. Nobody has a perfect high school experience. Coming from experience, I know high school can be made even more stressful when you’re worried about your weight.
Looking back on it now, I feel dumb because I would actually kill for the body I hated those four years (the freshman fifteen is real, people). When you’re surrounded by all those other fit young girls though, the slightest imperfection seems to be magnified a hundred times.
I’m not really sure what I was trying to get at with this post. I just hope some high school girls out there are reading this, because I say to you: it’s not as bad as you think! Believe me, four years from now half of those girls you are green with envy over will be fat. And the other half will still look amazing, but that’s beside the point. Remember to focus on yourself and remind yourself of what makes you beautiful, because I promise you, you are!
Who else out there had similar experiences in high school?
